Graphics serves as the primary design and large format printing area at Buffalo State. We design and produce items such as:
• large format posters & banners
• flyers, postcards, & bookmarks
• brochures & programs
• mounting onto foam core
• adhesive vinyl cut lettering
Our student workers will provide design and print assistance to faculty, staff, and students. They work directly with clients to discuss design jobs and offer suggestions about the best way to handle their needs. The student workers need to be aware of job deadlines and due to the limited number of work hours, occasionally jobs are finished by another designer. Ability to work well with others, and to work quickly on occasion is as important as the applicant’s design ability and digital imaging knowledge.
• Communication Design student (or similar)
• Experience working in Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
Due to the high quantity of job requests, student workers are a key component to making sure that work is finished in a timely manner. Promptness, common sense, dependability and responsibility are very important qualities for all of our workers. The hours are flexible between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
