Projects currently in-progress include:

  • VoIP - New VoIP system to replace our current communications infrastructure.  This long-term, 3-year project is in the initiation phase and scheduled to start summer 2015.
  • Document Management – Online document management system for storing, indexing, and retrieving documents using a common repository and system interface.  Initially being implemented with the Enrollment Management offices and the Graduate School to improve efficiencies and reduce paperwork and the decision timeline for the admission processes.
  • Scholarship System - Centralized scholarship application system for automatically matching students with available opportunities and streamlining the review and awarding process for the Financial Aid and Institutional Advancement offices.
  • Office 365 - RITE is pleased to announce an exciting technological change that will significantly enhance productivity, access, reliability and communication efficiency for Buffalo State College: the launch of Microsoft Office 365 for Faculty and Staff.  After a thorough assessment of the current email environment and evaluation of available platforms and systems, RITE has identified Microsoft Office 365 as the most appropriate solution for meeting the needs of the Buffalo State community.  Office 365 will provide a comprehensive set of services and tools that will provide enhanced email, web-based collaboration and cloud storage solutions for faculty and staff.
